This is personal! Both for me and you. Success is about intentionality. Very little in life just "happens". So, as we discuss different topics and thoughts, let's have this in mind - intentionality! Because we all want to succeed and success is intentional!

In my white, rural upbringing - living on a farm with chickens and ducks - I’d been insulated from the experiences of my brothers and sisters of color. I thought I had a clue. What I found out was that I wasn’t even close
America has gone wild, it’s out of control! It’s shameful! Disgusting! Have you had enough yet?
I don't venture into the political or controversial realms in my writings. I intentionally chose a different tack several years ago and I've stuck to it. But I feel something deep and very personal in this.
I would’ve done anything for her; I would’ve traded my life for hers. I valued her beyond anyone else apart from my wife. But I was utterly helpless. There was absolutely zero I could do to change her condition.

When we're punched in the face, where do we place our trust, where do we look for help? Difficulties and deep trials are certain to come, it's how we handle them that truly matters and will make the difference between advancing in victory or stagnating in death.
Life is hard. If we don't accept that fact early on, we risk shipwrecking our lives. Wedges, things that will split us to the core, are all around us, so how do we acknowledge but also navigate through them?
The same people who herald Jesus as their God and believe He is love are often the same who fail miserably at treating others as they would want others to treat them. So much for the Golden Rule – it’s a pretty important one and it’s often forgotten. It creates an icy chill.
Sometimes the lenses we view life through get tinted or fractured and truly affect the clarity of what we see and how we interpret life. All of us are called to constantly reflect on and evaluate how we view life. Sometimes we'll need a new pair of glasses.
