People can change. Are we willing to allow them the grace to do so? Or, will we eagerly wait for them to slip and then cheer that change never did happen? How do you wish to be met in your transformation?
The value of persistence can't be emphasized enough. The encouragement of being persistent spans back to antiquity. Good and positive rewards have been birthed from the efforts of persistent women and men.
We try so many things to help ourselves slow the pace so we can act out of mindfulness rather than our ill-fated, knee jerk reactions. God lovingly drums out a rhythm, a way for us to rest, recuperate and relish Him and His creation.
The same people who herald Jesus as their God and believe He is love are often the same who fail miserably at treating others as they would want others to treat them. So much for the Golden Rule – it’s a pretty important one and it’s often forgotten. It creates an icy chill.
